AIRF/SCRMU CONDUCTS FREE

MEGA HEALTH CAMP

    South Central Railway Mazdoor Union (SCRMU) affiliated to All India Railwaymen's Federation (AIRF, INDIA) the oldest and largest federation on Indian Railways organized a Mega Health camp on 03 April 2024 with the help of Medicover Hospitals, Begumpet, Hyderabad at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad on the eve of AIRF's Centenary Year Celebrations. More than 350 employees benefitted from the Health Camp. Tests such as Blood Pressure, Random Blood Sugar,  Electro Cardiogram (ECG), 2 D Echo, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) test etc., were done free of cost in addition to free consultation and advise from renowned Specialists.

     Dr. Rajesh - Internal Medicine, Dr. Saket - Cardiologist, Dr. Suman - Orthopedic, Dr. Jyothi Swaroop - Urologist, offered free advise to all the attendees. Hospital General Manager - Mr G.Vinod Kumar and team of 7 paramedics participated in camp.

    Com T Sanjeeviah, Divisional Secretary and Com Srinivas, Chairman EDB Division working under the Directives of Com Ch Sankar Rao, General Secretary, SCRMU & Treasurer AIRF conducted the Health Camp Successfully with full cooperation of  office bearers of the Branch. 

    Mrs Padmaja, Chief Passenger Transportation Manager(CPTM) attended the check up camp and while  appreciating the efforts of AIRF/SCRMU stated that more and more such camps must be conducted to bring health awareness among employees, especially the women employees. She offered full cooperation in such noble activities. 

    The employees Thanked AIRF/SCRMU for conducting the camp and appreciated the efforts of AIRF/SCRMU for the yeoman services offered in the interest and welfare of the Railway Fraternity.

  Mental Wellbeing Program at Valsad by AIRF/WREU Report Submitted by Com Namita Kumayu, Treasurer & Well Being Educator, WREU, Ratlam Branch    and Compiled/Edited by Kona Vishnu, Coordinator, International Affairs & Social Media, AIRF, INDIA.  As part of the AIRF Wellbeing programme a Mental Health Wellbeing Programme was conducted at Valsad, Mumbai Division, Western Railway Employees Union (WREU) on the 08 July 2023 by Com Namita Kumayu, First Responder and Educator of Wellbeing programme. The programme was attended by 72 women employees, family members of male employees etc.,  During the session, the importance of mental health, work related stress and importance to maintain balance between personal and professional life was explained for mental wellbeing. Participants came forward with their queries regarding their stress in different situation and queries to deal with it. The whole programme was guided by Com.
