  LAUNCH OF CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS BY AIRF/ECoRSU Report Submitted by Com Amrit Mishra, Youth Leader ECoRSU ECoRSU richly compliments and Congratulates all Comrades as we step into the 100th Year. It is a proud moment to each railway worker as we inherit the legacy of Sacrifices and Successes from our legendary leaders.  We proudly claim that we are the oldest and largest trade union on Indian Railways. On this occasion every branch of East Coast Railway Shramik Union celebrated as a festival. All branches conducted a padayatra to spread the history and achievements of the 100 glorious years of AIRF and its affiliates and distributed sweets among the staff. Centenary Stickers were specially printed for the occasion and  to paste it in every unit of zone. In the evening all our branches were illuminated with colourful lights, candles and flowers. The zonal office bearers and divisional office bearers along with the staff watched the live telecast on huge LED Screens arranged thereby. Gl

LAUNCH OF CENTENARY YEAR CELEBRATIONS OF AIRF, INDIA Report by Kona Vishnu, Coordinator International Affairs & Coordinator of Social Media,  AIRF, INDIA      100 years in 100 minutes - isn't that intriguing. All India Railwaymen's Federation (AIRF), India - The Oldest & Largest federation on Indian Railways with fullest presence especially after two secret ballot elections held in 2007 & 2013 across Indian Railways proudly launched the Centenary Year Celebrations and also the logo at International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF), London - A most revered place for any transport worker across the Globe.     Opening remarks and brief introduction was done by Com Shiva Gopal Mishra, General Secretary, AIRF and the event was launched by Com Stephen Cotton, General Secretary, ITF.  AIRF INDIA REITERATES THE RATIFICATION OF ILO C 190      All India Railwaymen's Federation (AIRF) the oldest and largest federation on Indian Railways reiterated its demand for ratification of International Labour Organization Convention 190 (ILO C-190) at the Tourism Conference being held at Antigua by International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) headquartered at London on 17th April 2023.      Speaking at Antigua Com Praveena Singh, Women Representative in the Tourism Sector from AIRF stated that "Violence in any form irrespective of gender at work place is NOT acceptable and it is our responsibility to educate the workers of the ILO C 190. Every country must invariably ratify ILO C 190 to safeguard the workers rights". All the participant countries brought out various instances of violence towards the tourism sector workers and stated that workers in this sector need to organize and form unions to fight for their legitimate rights and social protection.

 Joint GUF's Conduct A Stakeholders  Consultation and Social Dialogue Meeting      Under the banner of Joint GUFs Intervention on Social Dialogue and IFIs Engagements in South Asia, a Stakeholder Consultation and Social Dialogue Meeting took place at Bengaluru, Karnataka State in India on 10th April 2023. Affiliated unions from different Global Union Federations (GUFs) came forward together to discuss the situation of labour rights and violations across sectors at IFI-funded projects in India. The overall intervention is facilitated by the Building and Wood Workers International (BWI) in partnership with the International Federation of Transport Workers (ITF), Public Services International (PSI), UNI Global Union and IndustriALL with cooperation from the Mondiaal FNV, Netherlands.    Introduction started off briefly by young energetic Sister Shagufta Riyaz, Project Coordinator of Joint GUF's followed by an interesting explanation of the need of the meeting by Sister Prerna from

Com Shiva Gopal Mishra Demands  Scrapping of NPS          Com Shiva Gopal Mishra, General Secretary, All India Railwaymen's Federation (AIRF) and Secretary, National Council (Staff Side) Joint Consultative Machinery for Central Government Employees met Mr Bhupender Yadav, Hon'ble Minister for Labour & Employment, Govt of India and submitted a memorandum demanding the Scrapping of National Pension Scheme and to Implement Defined Old Pension Scheme. The meeting culminated with an assurance from the Minister stating that the matter will be looked into further.
