INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CONSOLIDATED REPORT BY AIRF, INDIA

All India Railwaymen's Federation (AIRF) the Largest and Oldest Federation with a 100 year history observed International Women's Day (IWD) in all the Zonal Railways and Production Units with women from every cadre actively participating. Notably the Chairman and CEO of Railway Board being the First Woman in the Highest Position leading the Mighty Indian Railways - the Fourth Largest network in the World and also largest employer in the World. We are adding the reports from various zones and will make every effort to include the reports/pictures/videos as much as possible in this report. #IWD2024 in Northern Railway by AIRF/NRMU
IWD was observed on 04th March 2024 under the guidance of Divisional Secretary Com Anoop Sharma, all the branches in the New Delhi area under the Chairmanship of Com Dinesh Bharadwaj, coordinated collectively with the leadership of Com Nina Yadav and the Youth Committee Com Poonam Dabas, organized a health awareness program for women at the "Vichar Hall" of the DRM office in Baroda House.
Com Shivgopal Mishra, General Secretary, NRMU & AIRF, Central Treasurer Com Praveena Singh, National Chairperson Com Jaya Agrawal, Chairperson Accounts Branch Com Sonia Hasija, Dr Sangita Arora from Lady Harding, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Ms. Neha Gupta, Assistant Personnel Officer Welfare and Delhi Division Chairperson Com Pawan Kumari were notable attendees. The speakers on the occasion said that important contributions by the women in building the society and nation have made Women an integral and essential part of the union too.
Women participated in games, enjoyed music and dance during the event, and finally, expressing gratitude to the women's power participating in the event from various branches, the meeting concluded by serving meals to all.
Headquarter Division of Delhi Division observed #IWD2024 under the guidance of Com Shiva Gopal Mishra, GS/NRMU and Com S K Tyagi, President, NRMU on 05 March 2024. President NRWWO Mrs Suniti Chaudhary was the Chief Guest on the cccasion.
#IWD2024 was observed by Sultanpur Branch by the Branch Secy Com Geetanjali with Chief Guest Dr Ila Pandey, Asst Medical Board Officer (Railways), Mrs Kanti Singh and Mrs Asim Sajjad, Vice President.
Dr. Ila Pandey said in her address said, if the country has to be taken forward on the path of development, then it is not possible without the full participation of women. Miss Akanksha Tripathi highlighted the role of women in today's social environment. Miss Rupam and Asamin Bano also addressed the program. Musical Chair Competition was also organized in the program.
Pathankot AIRF/NRMU Branch organized Women's Day at Union Office. Chaired by Com Ishu Saini and Vice president of the Forum Operations Branch Com Lavita Saini. Com Lavita addressing all women members in attendance that our theme on Women's Day today is "Inspire Inclusion Invest in Women".
Under the guidance of Assistant Divisional Secretary and Women Chairperson Com. Trija Minj, the program for International Women's Day was organized by the Mechanical Branch Carriage & Wagon Factory Alambagh Lucknow in the Committee Hall under the chairmanship of Branch President Com. Akhilesh Vishwakarma and leadership of Branch Secretary Com. Krishna Gopal Awasthi.
The program was conducted by Branch Vice-President Com. Sudha Bharti. As chief guests, Divisional Secy of the Factory Com Anoop Kumar Bajpai and former Factory Divisional Secy and Branch Supervisor Com. Arun Gopal Mishra were invited. Divisional Vice-President Com. Alok Tripathi and Assistant Divisional Secy Com. Sanjeev Mishra were also invited to the program.
A large number of women employees participated in the program.
On the occasion of Women's Day, Branch Supervisor Com. Arun Gopal Mishra, Divisional Vice-President Com. Alok Tripathi, Assistant Divisional Secy Com. Sanjeev Mishra, Branch Secy Com. Krishna Gopal Awasthi, Branch President Com. Akhilesh Vishwakarma expressed appreciation and respect towards women from various sectors of the world, providing detailed information about the economic, political, and social achievements and challenges of women.

International Women's Day was observed on 07th March 2024 by AIRF/NWREU. Ajmer's Women Wing organized a grand Women's Day celebrations with colorful cultural and women empowerment programme SRI auditorium in Ajmer with about 400-450 women attending the programme actively.

The Eastern Railwaymen's Union (ERMU) observed International Women's Day on March 8th, 2024, throughout the Eastern Railway region. Women in leadership roles at all levels, alongside female comrades from various branches of ERMU, adorned badges and actively participated in commemorating this significant day. The event was marked by a spontaneous display of solidarity and recognition of the invaluable contributions made by women. It underscores the imperative for harnessing women's empowerment to propel our nation's progress forward.

Under the aegis of West Central Railway Employees Union, a huge women's conference was organized on 08.03.2024 at Umraomal Purohit Auditorium on the occasion of International Women's Day. women's conference The inauguration was done by Divisional Railway Manager Mr Manish Tiwari. Divisional Commissioner Mrs. Urmila Rajoria was the chief guest of the conference and Advocate Kalpana Sharma, Government Ayurvedic Doctor Ritu Jain, Councilor Chetna Mathur, Gayatri Sharma, Union General Secretary Comrade Mukesh Galav, National Secretary of Hind Mazdoor Sabha and International Labor Leader were present as special guests. Ms Champa Verma, HDFC Bank Manager Jyoti Singh. More than 800 women were present in the women's conference.
