OBSERVANCE OF WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY BY AIRF & AFFILIATES ALL OVER INDIAN RAILWAYS - 10th OCT 2023

    On directives of Com Shiv Gopal Mishra, GS/AIRF Com Divya Sharma, National Coordinator, AIRF, Well-Being Project conducted a programme on “World Mental Health Day” on the 10^th of October 2023 at NRMU Office, New Delhi. Special invitees Dr Shyam sunder, Chief, Medical Supervisor and Dr Praveen attended along with Com Praveena Singh, Com Anup Sharma, Com Rajendra Bhardwaj, Com Pawan Kumari, Com Poonam Dabas, Com Rattan Lal and about 100 union activists of Delhi Division.  Introduction of Well-Being Project of AIRF/ITF and its importance the life of Transport Worker and  Discussion of current challenges which Railway worker is facing and the impact of that in their social and personal life was the agenda of the programme.

    Similar programme was organized at Baroda House, Northern Railway Headquarters, New Delhi under the advise of Com Shiva Gopal Mishra and attended by Com Praveena Singh, Com Sanjeev Saini, Com Alok, Com Divya Sharma, Com Poonam Dabas, Com Sunita, Com Nirmal, Com Rajkumari and approximately 30 woman activist of headquarter division. The programme was to discuss about the balance healthy lifestyle of transport worker and how this well being project or toll free helpline number can help them. 

    Blood donation camp was organized by volunteers of AIRF/NRMU Lucknow Division, Workshop Division, Accounts Division and Bridge Division as 10^th October was also observed as 103rd birthday of Late Com T.N. Bajpai Ex-Vice President of AIRF and President NRMU at Lucknow. On this occasion a seminar was also organized on Mental Well-Being, the seminar was inaugurated by Mrs Sushma Kharakwal Mayor of Lucknow, presided over by Com Shiv Gopal Mishra, Dr. Tulika Chandra head of blood bank/KGMC/Lucknow, Com Sia Ram Bajpai, Com RK Pandey, Com Preeti Singh, Com Anup Bajpai, Com Ram Avtar Meena, Com S U Shah, Com L N Pathak, Com Vibhuti Mishra, Com Arun Gopal Mishra, Com Shailendra Singh, Com Upendra Singh and 100 of delegate were present.

    Com Harsha Shelke conducted a Campaign at Matunga (Workshop, Station &HQ), Kurla S&T department, Parel workshop the other branch CSMT branch and Vadi Bandar branch with the branch secretaries and office bearers of respective branches of AIRF/NRMU CR & KR, program was conducted to sensitize them about mental health and share the initiatives taken for employees mental wellbeing by sharing toll free number launched by AIRF.

        Com Sundar Pitambar Veerkar observed world mental health day at AIRF/WREU  Mumbai Central Car Shed Branch with the guidance of Com J R Bhonsle GS/WREU, Com Prashant Kande, Mumbai Division Secretary, Com Chandra Prakash Upadhyay, Treasurer  and Com Melan Thakur.

          Com Namita observed World Mental Health at Ratlam Division under the advise of Com J R Bhonsle, GS/WREU in Presence of Chief guest Dr Mrs. Simmi Gupta/CMS/Divisional Hospital, Mrs. Arima Bhatnagar Sr/DPO/Ratlam, Mrs. Anchala Dixit/ psychologist/Civil hospital Ratlam, Mrs. Seema Kaushik Vice President WREU.

            Com Imran conducted mental well-being awareness program at the Bridge maintenance union office in the presence of Com Shailendra Singh/Divisional Secretary, AIRF/NRMU. About 20 union activists attended the program.

        Com Manphool conducted world mental health day at the Mechanical & Electrical Branch of Ferozepur Division, NRMU in the presence of Com Narendra Kumar and Introduce the staff with the well being project of AIRF and shared information about toll free number of Help Line.

    Com Deepak observed World Mental Health Day at Hardoi/Moradabad Division of Northern Railway under the auspices of AIRF/NRMU. About 40 union activists attended the program and shared their views on the initiative of AIRF/ITF.

      Com Deepak Observed World Mental Health Day at headquarters branch Moradabad Division on the 13^th of October 2023 about 25 youth union activists attended the program.

    As per the directives of AIRF, World Mental Health Day was organized by AIRF/SWRMU Youth Wing at main union office. Com Ashok Kumar Zonal President, Com V. E. Charkhani Zonal Treasurer, Com Anthony Jeny D’Cruz AGS & GS Youth Wing, Com Jayalaxmi AGS, Com Praveen Patil DS WS & Com  Francis D. Correa, Youth Coordinator addressed the participants Com K Venkatesh AGS, Com C Murugan AGS, Com Santosh Nalvade Divisional President, Workshop, Local Branch Secretaries and Office bearer were also present.

    Com Neha Tiwari conducted a programme on World Mental Health Day on 10^th Oct at Loco workshop Charbagh Lucknow under the aegis of AIRF/NRMU and attended by Com V K Singh, Branch Secretary and about 14 youth members of the union.

    World mental health Day was successfully observed throughout Indian Railway at the initiative of AIRF with affiliated unions conducting various programmes.
