MENTAL WELL BEING AT BHOPAL

    On 24 September 2023 a Mental Health Wellbeing program was organized by Com Mukesh Galav, General Secretary WCREU deputing Com Santosh Kumar, First Responder & Trainer of AIRF/WCREU and Com Manish Bhagat of  AIRF Health Wellbeing Project at the WCREU. 

    A total of 50 staff of Carriage Repair Workshop (CRWS), Bhopal attended the programme. The session initially discussed about mental health and its importance in day-to-day life. Initially the staff expressed the view that except for physical ill-health everything was fine. The physically ill-health was cured by medication on advise of Doctor. Gradually the trainer explained the importance of Mental Well-being and the staff started sharing their views opened out of the stigma in confidence, due care was taken regarding the privacy. 

    Firstly the mental health introduction was done followed by stress and stress management techniques and very importantly the peer support. 

    On experimental basis a new session of eye gazing with soft music was introduced at the end to minimize stress levels. It yielded remarkable results.

    The staff shared their opinions and thoughts about stress and the ways and means in their own way to deal with Stress and Strain.

    A feedback was also sought from the staff in order to improve the future sessions.

    The Staff requested for many more such sessions to ease Stress & Stress Management.
